What becomes of old generals? At least one welcomes wounded Army Rangers for duck hunts at his place. What does that have to do with soldiering? By God’s grace, nothing at all.

Four Army Rangers walk into a backyard in Bald Knob.

Between the four of them, these soldiers have more than 20 deployments to the world's hot spots. One soldier's next trip is imminent, with the hope of being back in time for his wife to birth their first baby.

Why here? Duck hunting and Jim Daniel, the two being mostly inseparable.

Operation Wounded Warrior Support has rebranded as Darby’s Warrior Support, but our mission to support our elite forces stayed the same. Our organization was in need of a new name for several reasons.

We are incredibly fortunate to have major progress happening with our Ranger Base Biscoe Bunkhouse. We are excited to be able to host twice as many vets when the project is complete. This new Bunkhouse is in addition to "The Duck House." We are so excited DWS continues to grow and, with these new additions, what the future will bring for us and our ability to help combat veterans of the 9-11 Generation.

Construction progressing nicely.

Not too much longer until construction is complete.

We have been able to provide a program that covers all Soldier expenses other than a hunting license and duck stamps. Only through your continued support will we be able to sustain this effort.

Our Mission

The DWS Mission is to provide combat veterans of the 9/11 Generation free, all-inclusive Arkansas duck hunting in luxury accommodations, while also providing educational scholarship assistance for the severely wounded and permanently disabled veteran seeking a college degree.

The Arkansas values of rugged individualism, hard work, patriotism and love of the outdoors makes the Natural State the perfect location for DWS and allow us to operate almost totally with volunteers and without paid staff.
